Engaged customers, increased conversions - new horizons for digital games distribution

    Muve.pl is a modern online shop (marketplace) designed for digital entertainment enthusiasts, and one of the leading 
    e-commerce platforms in the area of digital games in Central Europe. Muve has been on the market for over 10 years and has created an innovative ecosystem for the digital distribution of games and digital products. In addition, it is a direct distribution partner of the world’s leading publishers, such as Cenega, Take-Two, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, Nintendo and Netflix. Muve offers a wide range of computer games across platforms and other digital products, including top-ups and pre-paid cards. Additionally, they were the first in Poland to launch a digital distribution service for PC and MAC games in December 2011 and have been the leader in this category ever since.

    Our task was to create a solution to run and manage a coherent business across three different markets: Polish, Czech and Hungarian. We began our work with a comprehensive Discovery Workshop to identify the client’s key business needs and determine the technology that fully addresses them. After conducting the necessary analysis, we set our sights on building an advanced API solution to distribute digital products to Muve’s B2B partners. Furthermore, we created a dedicated loyalty programme: “The Company of Gamers”.

    The scope of the project included:
    • identifying stakeholders’ needs and business objectives, analysis of business processes and challenges,
    • designing a new, fully responsive muve.pl website (RWD) using Sitecore,
    • creating a concept for a system enabling redistribution of games by Partners and a solution for selling digital products from other distributors
    • developing a loyalty programme with gamification elements, integrated with the muve.pl e-shop

    • implementing systems enabling data collection and personalisation.

    Results

    Combining an innovative solution with a design tailored to the target group (gamers) and the use of gamification mechanisms made it possible to effectively encourage users to interact with the website , therefore increasing their engagement and loyalty . This in turn lead directly into a higher conversion rate and the improved effectiveness of sales activities.

    Our solution has enabled muve.pl to enrich its offering with games and digital products from major publishers and distributors. Additionally, Muve has become a source of digital products for smaller e-commerce solutions — all thanks to a dedicated e-commerce platform based on Core IG.

    Since the launch of the site in 2015, we have continued to support Muve’s digital operations through further backend development, expanding the site according to new client needs (due to further integrations, among other things). The loyalty programme we designed delivered on its objectives, expanding Muve’s customer base and strengthening customer loyalty — it was closed in favour of further marketing activities by Muve, tailored to the current needs of the target group.
